Reset Your Browser

Sometimes browsers can get in funny states and cause malfunctions in KeepandShare. Here is a simple set of steps that will ensure your browser is completely refreshed and hopefully not causing problems with any websites:

  1. Reboot your PC so the operating system has a fresh start.
  2. Is your browser up-to-date? Make sure you have a current version of your browser. If you have older versions they can case problems. If your version is older, download and install a new one.
  3. Force your browser to do a complete, 'hard' refresh:
When you are logged into KeepandShare in your browser, hold down the "Ctrl" key and then, while still holding it, press the F5 key. This ctrl-F5 combination tells the browser to do a complete refresh, flushing out everything it's got and getting new copies from the web service.

If the above 3 steps do not clear up your problem, then we recommend you 'clear the cache' of your browser:

  • For Internet Explorer, Go into the Tools menu then choose Internet Options. On the General Tab (which should be the first one), Under "Browsing History" click "Delete..." and then you would chose delete "Temporary Internet Files" to clear the cache. This gets ride of any files your browser was caching from KeepandShare from earlier yesterday.
  • For Firefox, go to the Tools menu then choose Options, then the Privacy tab. Under the section 'Private Data' click on Settings and make sure 'cache' is selected, click OK and back at the Privacy tab click on 'Clear Now'.
