I think memory foam might be a better and more durable solution and I like it since I have one of those. Also, in general, foam is an excellent material for sofas, chairs or sofa cushions. Not long ago I had a home DIY project in which I updated an old sofa from the terrace. I just found the site https://www.coaseb.com/custom-cut-foam where I ordered sofa cushion foam to do some minor repairs
