I’ve heard about the e-visa option for certain countries, but I’m unsure if Indian citizens are eligible for it. Does anyone have experience applying for a Russian visa online? I’m particularly interested in the process for a tourist visa. How do I know if I qualify, and what are the documents or invitations required to complete the e-visa application process?

Yes, Indian citizens can apply for a Russian visa online, but only for certain visa types. The e-visa system is available for tourists visiting Russia for short stays of up to 16 days. However, it’s important to note that this is only available for specific regions of Russia, such as St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, and the Leningrad region. If you're applying for a business or work visa, you will still need to go through the traditional consulate process. For those who are eligible for the e-visa, the process is relatively straightforward—after filling out the online application, you’ll receive the visa electronically. More details on this process can be found at https://clearthesmoke.org.

I’ve been wondering about the visa requirements for Russian travel, and this seems like exactly what I needed. I’m excited to check it out!
