THE TEN COMMANDMENTS WERE INSIDE THE ARK OF THE COVENANT
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS WERE INSIDE THE ARK OF THE COVENANT
The Old Testament and The New Testament make a distinction between The Ten Commandments and The Book of The Law. Here is proof of two separate laws: The Ten Commandments were placed inside the Ark of the Covenant and the Book of the Law was placed outside the Ark of the Covenant.
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
God wrote The Ten Commandments --and He added no more--THE LORD (not Moses) wrote them on two tablets of stone and they were placed inside the Ark of the Covenant.
"And the LORD delivered unto me [Moses] two tables of stone written with the FINGER OF GOD; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly." Deut 9:10 (KJV)
"And he declared unto you HIS COVENANT, which he commanded you to perform, even TEN COMMANDMENTS; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone." Deut 4:13 (KJV)
"These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me [Moses]. Deut 5:22 (KJV)
"At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest AND THOU SHALT PUT THEM IN THE ARK.
And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me. Deut 10:1-4 (KJV)
THE BOOK OF THE LAW
The Book of The Law was written in a book by Moses. It was placed IN THE SIDE OF THE ARK OF THE COVENANT.
"And Moses wrote THIS LAW, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel. Deut 31:9 KJV)
"And it came to pass, when MOSES HAD MADE AN END OF WRITING THE WORDS OF THIS LAW IN A BOOK, until they were finished, That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, Take this BOOK OF THE LAW, and put it IN THE SIDEOF THE ARK OF THE COVENANT of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee." Deut 31:24-26 KJV)
