Horror Icons: Part 1 teaser
A/N: Before reading this make sure you’ve seen the trailer for Alien as this trailer is done in the exact same format. It also features the same background music. Replicating the end of the Alien trailer may or may not work, but I’ve always admired the trailer for being incredibly vague on the movie’s plot as opposed to spoiling everything there is to know. Also admired the way it’s cut and edited.
And just to clarify, my story's tagline is actually an unused tagline from the teaser trailer for Alien 3 created behind the director's back, which resulted in that film under going several more re-writes.
FADE IN:
We see a group of stars just like in the original Alien trailer. The background music is even being played. The camera is moving forward as if it were a ship. Hundreds of stars floating behind it.
CUT TO:
The camera tracks back over a rocky surface.
MICKEY (V.O.)
Sid. You’ve got a Linda Hamilton thing going on. No, no. It’s nice. I like it.
RANDY (V.O.)
There are certain rules that one must abide by in order to successfully survive a horror movie!
CUT TO:
Close up of the Xenomorph egg. Slowly pan down as the Alien music starts to grow louder.
Student (V.O.)
‘Aliens’ is a classic! “Get away from her you bitch!”
RANDY (V.O.)
I believe the line is “Stay away from her you bitch.”
A crack appears in the Alien egg.
CUT TO:
EXT. WINDSOR LIBRARY- DAY
A 67 Impala pulls up into the parking lot. Individual shots of Sam and Dean exiting the vehicle.
CUT TO:
INT. HALLWAY-UNKNOWN TIME
A girl is running down a long and claustrophobic hallway. She is panting heavily.
CUT TO:
INT. HALLWAY- UNKNOWN TIME (CONT'D)
First person P.O.V. The camera is very shaky as she continues to run.

EXT. WINDSOR LIBRARY- DAY
Close up of Dean’s EMF reader. It’s picking up a massive surge and is still rising.

The girl is running even faster now.

A group of girls are jumping rope in slow motion. Sidney watches one of the girls and has a confused look on her face. The music rises even more in intensity.

INT. UNKNOWN LOCATION- NIGHT
Kincaid smacks someone with his gun.
CUT TO:
INT. ANOTHER UNKNOWN LOCATION- NIGHT
Ruby is supporting a near unconscious Sidney.
CUT TO:
INT. CLASSROOM – NIGHT
Gale moves slowly across the walls searching for the light switch.
CUT TO:
INT. DIFFERENT CLASSROOM- NIGHT
Dewey aims his gun at someone casually twirling a knife.
CUT TO:
INT. HALLWAY- NIGHT
The girl stops by a corner and preps herself. She starts running again into the dark. The music cuts off.
CUT TO:
SEVERAL CLIPS PLAY AT ONCE. THE NOISE OF EACH CLIP OVERLAPPING ONE ANOTHER:
A chest burster is breaking out of someone’s body.
GIRL
HOLD THEM DOWN!
-The creature breaks free and leaps at the camera.
-Sam and Dean fire at something off screen.
-A student is grabbed and is pulled screaming into the darkness.
- A Xenomorph rises to its full height right behind an unsuspecting victim.
- A second Xenomorph strikes someone with its inner mouth.
-An enormous fire erupts in front of Sidney. She falls back trying to avoid the flames.
- Sam grabs the sides of his head and screams out in agony.
The sound cuts off and is replaced by dead silence as we smash to black.
