DIVORCE - REMARRIAGE - THE FINAL WORD ...

DIVORCE - REMARRIAGE - THE FINAL WORD...

Q. Is divorce and remarriage except for fornication a sin? Absolutely!

Adultery is a sin!

Fornication is a sin!

Divorce and remarriage (except for fornication) is a sin.!

Murder is a sin!

Breaking the Sabbath is a sin!

ANY TRANSGRESSION OF GOD'S LAW IS A SIN.

When we turn to seek God and repent of our sin we are forgiven ALL PAST SIN (including divorce and remarriage)

Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of SINS THAT ARE PAST, through the forbearance of God;

When we truly repent all past sin is forgiven - we are cleansed and *nothing* we have done is held against us. The Father has given us the opportunity for forgiveness through the sacrifice of His Son - our Lord Jesus.

"All past sin" includes divorcing and remarrying for any reason. There is a line in time - all previous sin before that point in time is forgiven when we truly repent. If we are guilty of divorce and remarriage before repentance WE ARE FORGIVEN - We start over - we just remain in the married state we are in.

From that point forward if we divorce and remarry (except for fornication) we are guilty of adultery. Those who do will be lost just as they will be lost for any willful sin after receiving the knowledge of the truth.

Harold Kupp

Mat 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
