One fine day while wandering through Wonderland Alice came upon a curious machine shaped just like a church.
The Mad Hatter was feeding Bible verses into the machine and a jabberwocky was cranking a big handle round and round.
Alice asked the Red Queen: “What is this Wonderful Machine?” The Queen winked and said: “Here is where we make what is into what is not”. Alice marveled at its Glorious appearance and asked “How does it work?
Well – said the Queen – we fill the machine with Christian clichés and then filter the Bible verses through them by turning the crank. When the verses come out as new clichés they make all the little jabberwockies very happy and filled with love.
“Oh how Wonderful – show me” said Alice… “I want to be happy and filled with love.”
So the Mad Hatter stuffed the curious churchlike machine with these lovable Christian Clichés ………
“God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life!”
“God hates sin but loves the sinner”
“Christians are sinners too – just forgiven”
“ In you go never to be seen again” mumbled the Mad Hatter as he fed this Bible verse into the Wonderful Church Machine.
“ The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.”
Crank…Whirr….Whizz…Buzz went the machine and instantly a piece of golden paper came out the other side.
Alice took the shining paper and read:
“Jesus loves me that I know because the Bible tells me so.”
“Oh my” Alice said, I see how it works now, in goes the truth and out comes just what I want to hear – what a clever machine!”
