man's day contrasted to THE LORD'S DAY
man's day contrasted to THE LORD'S DAY
This present time of grace is man's day. The Creator has given humans a limited period of time to state their opinions and make their decisions and judgments.
Be warned: the opinions of men will die with them. Only the word of the Lord endures forever.
"For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever..." 1 Pet 1:24-25
People: this is your day. You can use this day to submit to the authority of Jesus Christ; or you can give your opinions of why you do not need to obey The Ten Commandments.
Just remember, another day is coming: The Lord's Day*, the day belonging to the Lord, when He will judge all men according to His Commandments, including this one:
“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and **rested the seventh day**: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." Exod 20:8-11 (KJV)
