THE CHRISTIAN DEATH WARRANT
THE CHRISTIAN DEATH WARRANT
Many Christians believe they will be "saved" even if they continue to sin.
However, the truth is ...
If they live according to the flesh (The sin nature) They will die!
Here is the proof:
"For if you live according to the flesh YOU WILL DIE, but IF by the Spirit YOU put to death the deeds of the body YOU WILL LIVE" Rom 8:13
Paul explains to the Roman Christians what he means by the verse above:
** For if you live according to the flesh YOU WILL DIE,**
Question: Who are those who "live according to the flesh"?
The Apostle Paul's Answer:"For those who live according to the flesh SET THEIR MINDS on the things of the flesh." Romans 8:5
Question: How do you recognize A MIND THAT IS "SET ON THE FLESH"?
The Apostle Paul's Answer:"For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God; IT DOES NOT SUBMIT TO GOD'S LAW," Romans 8:7
Question: What will happen to the mind that is set on the flesh and will not submit to God's law?
The Apostle Paul's Answer: "To set the mind on the flesh IS DEATH," Romans 8:6
Please listen! You can confess that Jesus is "Lord", but if you have not submitted to God's law, then YOUR mind is set on the flesh and YOUR end **is** eternal death.
BUT
If by the SPIRIT, YOU put to death the deeds of the body YOU WILL LIVE."
IF by the power of the Holy Spirit YOU will put to death (stop completely) the sinful deeds of the body your end will be eternal life. SUBMIT OR DIE! THE CHOICE IS UP TO YOU!
What does it mean to "submit"? And what is God's law?
*SUB-MIT. 1. To yield or surrender (oneself) to the will or authority of another. American Heritage Dictionary
*LAW (of God) 1. The Ten Commandments given to Moses (Exodus 20:3-17) summarized God's requirement of man. New Compact Bible Dictionary (Zondervan)
HAVE YOU SUBMITTED TO THE LAW OF GOD?
1. Thou shalt have no other Gods before me. [ ]
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image. (To use in worship) [ ]
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain. [ ]
4. Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy ... The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord. (Holy- See Isaiah 58:13) [ ]
5. Honor thy father and thy mother. [ ]
6. Thou shalt not kill. [ ]
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery. (Adultery - see Matt 5:28) [ ]
8. Thou shalt not steal [ ]
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness. (Any lie) See Proverbs 12:22, Rev 22:15 [ ]
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house ...thy neighbor's wife ... nor anything that is thy neighbor's. [ ]
11. This is my commandment, that ye love one another, (just) as I have loved you. John 15:12 [ ]
Let no church (or teacher) deceive you. The Bible says that those who have truly come to "know God" are those who are keeping His Commandments.
"And by this we KNOW that we have come to know Him, IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS" 1 John 2:3 NAS
