John 3:36 (translations)
The King James translates John 3:36 as:
John 3:36 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that **believeth not** the Son shall not see life; (KJV)
However, other translations translated it like this:
John 3:36 36 He who believes in the Son has eternal life; he who **does not obey** the Son shall not see life, (RSV)
John 3:36 36 He that believeth on the Son hath eternal life; but he that **obeyeth not** the Son shall not see life, (ASV)
The Greek text behind the KJV does not differ from the Greek text behind the other translations. They all show the word translated as "believeth not" in the KJV and "obeyeth not" in the others to be the Greek "apeithon".

KJV-- not believe, disobedient, obey not, unbelieving.
