Noah's food before the Ark, on the Ark and after the flood
NOAH'S FOOD BEFORE THE ARK, ON THE ARK AND AFTER THE FLOOD
Sometimes people see what they want to see when they read the Scriptures. Or perhaps they have been taught certain doctrines without examining them closely.
For example, the food eaten before the Ark, on the Ark and after the flood.
CLEAN AND UNCLEAN BEASTS:
Gen 7:2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
There were clearly clean beasts and unclean beasts before the ark sailed. They were clean and unclean in reference to sacrifices - not diet.
For those who say they were clean or unclean for diet - I say please prove it. Before the flood the diet of man did not include animals - clean or unclean.
After the flood THE CLEAN ANIMALS WERE SACRIFICED.
Sacrifice: Clean animals.
Gen 8:20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
After the flood Diet: EVERY MOVING THING THAT LIVES:
Gen 9:2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
Gen 9:3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
Every means "every" in 9:2 just as it means "every" in 9:3.
Men may not have wanted to eat every moving thing that lives but it was not sin to do so. The dietary laws were added to the covenant God made with Israel in contrast to the blessing God gave to Noah and his sons to eat every moving thing that lives.
Gen 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them...Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
*The original diet for man was herbs and fruit.*
Gen 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
*The Diet on the Ark: (Same as original)*
Gen 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
The green herb was the food that was eaten by beasts.
Gen 6:21 And take thou unto thee of ALL FOOD THAT IS EATEN and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
*The Diet after the Ark:*
Gen 9:3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
As you can see God made no distinction at that time (after the flood) between clean and unclean foods - EVERY MOVING THING THAT LIVETH was the blessed diet.
