FALSE TRANSLATION OF Romans 8:1

Yvonne R. Lucas-Cessna posted:

"Since flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven, why do people still want to continue following after the works of their flesh??

Galatians 5:19-21 - 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

Donna Kupp writes:

Many Christians are walking after the flesh because they have been deceived by false teachers and some perverted Bible translations into believing they are in Christ Jesus and have no condemnation.  For example:

FALSE TRANSLATION:  “There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1 ASV

Here, from the original Greek, you can see proof that the ASV translators have omitted the qualifying phrase,  “who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”:

1  There is thereforeG686 nowG3568 noG3762 condemnationG2631 to themG3588 which are inG1722 ChristG5547 Jesus,G2424 who walkG4043 notG3361 afterG2596 the flesh,G4561 butG235 afterG2596 the Spirit.G4151

If a Christian walks after the flesh, they are not in Christ Jesus; they are still under condemnation;  and they can be certain they are not walking after the Spirit!
