Foreloved Perseverant quoted Matthew 28:1

  • Foreloved Perseverant quoted Matthew 28:1

In the end G1161 G3796 of the sabbath, G4521 as it began to dawn G2020 toward G1519 the first G3391 day of the week, G4521 came G2064 Mary G3137 Magdalene G3094 and G2532 the other G243 Mary G3137 to see G233
    4 the sepulchre. G5028

Foreloved also wrote: “The first day of the week, G4521 , is the Sabbath Donna.”

Donna writes: In all the gospel verses that say: “The first day of the week.”,* the Greek was not translated correctly. The inaccuracy of the translation makes all these verses incompatible with the rest of the scriptures.

INCORRECT TRANSLATION: “In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the WEEK, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.” Matthew 28:1

The word [day] was added by the translators.

According to Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words:

WEEK - SABBATON is used (a) in the ***plural*** in the phrase "the first day
    of the week"

Let us see what happens if we omit the word [day] and translate week [sabbaton] in the ***plural***:

CORRECT TRANSLATION: In the end of the Sabbath [Nisan 15], as it began to dawn toward the first of the weeks, …”

  •  1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [Passover - Nisan 14 - Exodus 12:6]

    1 Corinthians 15:4 And that he was buried, [Nisan 15 - Sabbath - L
ev 23:6-7] and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: [Nisan 16 - Morrow after the feast day sabbath - Waving the sheaf - omer - of the first fruits of the harvest.; aka THE FIRST OF THE WEEKS that count to Pentecost.]

Those days are counted from the new moon; and, from year-to-year they occur on different days of the week.
