WHAT KIND OF "WORK" DID GOD REST FROM --AND WHEN?
WHAT KIND OF "WORK" DID GOD REST FROM --AND WHEN?
You might want to check the meaning of the word "works" ... it means labour.
ἔργον
ergon
From ἔργω ergō (a primary but obsolete word; to work); toil (as an effort or occupation); by implication an act: - deed, doing, labour, work.
Heb 4:10 On that day God's people will rest from their work, just as God rested from his work.
Did you know that there were two different rests in the Hebrews 4 passage - or is that new information.
If it is new then you could not possibly understand the passage. It is not complicated - rest as God rested means exactly what the author said:
"And God rested on the seventh day from all his works."
