WILL YOU GET THE DEATH PENALTY?
WILL those who abide in Christ commit sin? WILL YOU GET THE DEATH PENALTY?
Many of you have been told that you will be saved from God's Judgment if you simply make a decision to "TRUST IN CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR!" Well that clever little slogan is not even in the Bible --try and find itl
Modern Christianity trumpets that lie of the devil in order to soothe the conscience of those who continue to commit sin. The Bible says that in order to be saved you must ABIDE IN CHRIST.
1. How do you abide in Christ?
"ALL WHO KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS ABIDE IN HIM." 1 John 3:24
2. Do those who abide in Christ commit sin?
" WHOSOEVER ABIDETH IN HIM SINNETH NOT" 1 John 3:6
3. What will happen to those who do not abide in Christ? :
"If a man does not ABIDE in me, He is CAST FORTH as a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered , thrown into the fire and BURNED" (Jesus speaking) John 15:6
The word ABIDE comes from the Greek meno, which means "to remain in" All who are truly born of God are in Christ. BUT to be saved from destruction you must REMAIN in Christ. The Scriptures are clear...
THOSE WHO ABIDE IN CHRIST KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS AND SINNETH NOT!
Friends, I ask you: How can someone who is sinning say that he sinneth not? If you are still breaking any of God's Ten Commandments including the Sabbath, you will receive the death penalty. To be saved ask Jesus to deliver you from sin's power. If you choose to stop sinning completely, God will give you the grace to overcome all sin. You see, true faith is the faith to obey no matter what it might cost
On the other hand, if you refuse to obey even one of God's commandments you will not ABIDE in Christ and on judgement day you will be "gathered, thrown into the fire and BURNED" God is waiting for you to make your choice.
