Banana Berry Smoothie (Mom and dad's low fat breakfast drink on weekday mornings)
Mom's Breakfast Fruit Smoothie
I vary the frozen fruit used, and this smoothie can use super ripe bananas. Serves 2
2 ripe soft bananas 1 TB. lemon juice
1 TB. orange juice 1 C. plain low-fat or non-fat yogurt 1 cup fresh or frozen unsweetened berries of any kind (I buy the big frozen bags) 3 TB. honey (I add a serving of soy protein powder for extra staying power the whole morning!)
1. put the bananas(break in pieces 1st) in the blender first. Add the yogurt, berries (or other frozen fruit),honey and juices and protein powder into the blender and blend. 2. Pour the smoothie into 2 tall glasses and garnish with a berry if you like.
