Ziti by Andrea
Andrea's Ziti (invented for Rose's 14th birthday 2007)
Ingredients:
Box of penne or rigatoni pasta
two jars of your favorite tomato sauce
one onion, chopped
three carrots, cut into small pieces
any other vegs. you'd like to add
1 cup Mascarpone cream
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 lb. grass fed ground beef
I
use a slow cooker for this recipe. If you don't have one, use a large
pan that you can simmer all the ingredients in for about 2 hours.
Combine ground beef, vegs. and tomato sauce in cooker
Cook at low for 4 hours, or on stove for two hours
One
hour before you want to eat (cooker) or 1/2 hour before (stove), add
cooked pasta and the cream and cheese to the sauce mixture. Simmer 1/2
hour on very low on stove or continue to cook on low in cooker for 1
hour.
