5 Essential Tips For Working Remotely
If you're among the countless people who are new to working from home or who are working from home on a more long-term basis than before you can feel a little untethered. It's an enormous change! Particularly right now, when we were instructed to stay at home with no notice or planning.
There are many who have loved working from home for a long time. There are a variety of ways to make it work and be just as productive and efficient from the comfort of your own home office (or dining room table or couch) as you are working at your desk in the office.

1. Set up your work area with as little distractions as is possible.
There are people who don't have a workspace at home with high-speed internet access, a locked entrance, and is completely free of distractions. Try to make sure that you are working in the same location every day in a supportive chair for your office. It is inevitable that things will arise which can cause you to turn your attention from the tasks at hand, but that happens in offices too. If you can, make sure to use your workspace exclusively for work, so you can manage your work and home lives separate.
2. Make sure you keep the communication channels open , and that they are used frequently

5. You are able to have a break but you can't really
It can be uncomfortable and overwhelming when you're not used to remote work. It might sound fun at first, but it can be difficult to get used to this new normal even for a short time. It is important to think realistically about how much you can do in the course of a day. Speak with your supervisor and team leader to determine the best way to finish the most important tasks in time. Prioritize and revise as necessary. There will be hard days, and errors. Do not beat yourself up! It's a new norm, and everybody is learning to accomplish it simultaneously.
There are some real perks to work from home such as not having to fight with traffic, never having to worry about someone else's failure to refill the coffee maker or the Keurig bin being overflowing. There's no one to be able to take your lunch! But it can be a time of adjustment in the event that you organize yourself and figure out what works.
