Is it the world's largest show store because it has a giant shoe ? Or is it because of the selection? Did the inn keepers have a story as to how they got all of those neat sculptures ?

Well,Katharine, only people with big feet shop there! Ha!Ha! It was an old fashioned shoe store where the customer looks at the shoes on display and one of a multitude of clerksgoes in the back room and finds your size for you (or not). It had a very large showroom with a wide selection of shoes . I did not see how large the stockroom was.
