Memphis would've had a blast. They also had many things for children to do.

What a great time. Brings back memories of the two years Rebekah had lambs in the state fair.

State fairs are a lot of fun and a lot of work for the kids showing their animals off. However, the kids in Galt take the whole week off from school and have fun at the County fair all week! Rebekah raised 2 lambs and sold them at the fair. Yes, I did break and train my horse Rahas, who was 1/2 Arabian and 1/2 half Quarter horse, the son of my dad's Arabian stallion. I did get to ride Rahas in 1 competition trail ride in high school, and used to jump him in an English saddle, but I had to leave all that behind when we were married. My dad rode Rahas all the way from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest trail over several summers when the girls were little. Those are beautiful horses. Now I need to go out and see to my minature donkey's feet, the hardest task of owning hooved animals!!

Aaron also showed animals at the Sacramento County Fair - a lamb (Dave - who won Grand Champion) and 2 cows. He loved it.

Thanks for sharing about Aaron's experience with the Sacramento County Fair! I really appreciate now all the hard work it takes to show an animal!
