36 - Dia de Los Muertos --Nov 2
Dia de Los Muertos AAHHHH!!
Its November! Time is flying! For Da de Los Muertos the
primary school I work at had a huge festival. All the different
grades made alters, and then in the night, they had all the good
traditional Mexican food, little rollercoasters, music, Indian dances
for the kids and their families. It was really fun to go and
spend time with the students outside of the classroom.
I went on the dragon ride, and it was actually kinda scary.
My first grade class - their alter
Then the whole city is decorated as well.
Hey, I found pumpkins! Next to the traditional skulls.
These dolls were everywhere
Yae, angels!
Different alters in the city that different organizations or schools made.
This enourmous alter is in front of the governers building.

Wow, I didn't realize skulls were that popular. Are prayers said for the dead on El Dia de Muerte? Mi maestra, Seniorita Carr: Alter is spelled altar! What do your students call you? --Love, Mamacita

I never saw so many altars. It's really neat seeing a different culture. I guess they did not celebrate Halloween?
