We're Engaged!
On Dec. 28, 2006 I got engaged to Oscar Galvan Contreras!!!!
He proposed to me at his dining room table where we met for the very first time on Feb. 24th. Now 10 months later the man of my dreams told me he wants to spend the rest of his life with me!!
Little did I know that the planning for this date began on November 3rd, when we went to a missions conference with my parents in Dana Point. He asked my dad’s permission that weekend, when I was out with my mom!
Then little did I know that the planning continued when he spent Thanksgiving with us. And this pix is proof of the secret planning going on!! :) He went with my brother-in-law to buy the ring, while I was out to breakfast and Christmas shopping with my mom and sisters!!!! I had no idea!!!
Then he planned to do it when my parents could be present along with his parents. My parents were visiting here in Tijuana. His parents invited us over for a dinner. When we were starting to eat dessert at around 11pm, Oscar said we were going to play a little game. The person with the “Magnolia” flower on their placemat was going to get a surprise! That was me! He had me close my eyes and then handed me the first surprise which was flowers!!!
Then he said he had another suprise! He said, "Baby, look at me, baby"
And then he said that “In front of Jesús, my parents, his parents and his sister, I want to tell you that I want to spend the rest of my life with you” (He told me in Spanish) and then on his knee he opened up the box and showed me the ring. I burst into tears! I couldn’t believe it was really happening!! My dream to marry the man of my dream was coming true!!! aaaahhhh!!!!

Then we recieved our first phone call from Alma Rosa in Queretaro, who if I had never met, I would have never met Oscar. She was my best friend in QRO, and now we will be cousins!!!!! Yae!! Te quiero mucho, Almita!! Gracias por todo!!
Saying, "WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!!!!" Thank you God for bringing Oscar into my life. Mi tesoro de Dios!!
