Our Trip to Arkansas
Our Trip to Arkansas
We drove from Memphis, TN, across the Mississippi into Arkansas, where we stayed with old family friends in Paragould (in northeastern Arkansas).
We stopped in Marked Tree for a couple hours to see the town where my grandfather grew up. This is the St. Francis River where he used to fish.
Our friends Wes & Juli took us to Hardy, a town in the Ozarks for shopping, lunch and sightseeing.
The beautiful Spring River that flows through the ozarks
Christina with the Spring River
no kidding...
Ozarks
This ivy grows up everything out there.
Ozarks
Driving back to Tennessee, we went through the bottom of Missouri
While we were out there, we made a point to eat at the Cracker Barrel as much as possible. Talk about good chewin'. Notice the Cracker Barrel t-shirt. If you're ever out that way, I highly recommend. Fried okra is available with every meal, as well as fried apples, biscuits or corn muffins.
