Whitney 125781 ADOPTED 2/8/2019 WITH DELILAH

Update 3/9/2019:

Delilah and Whitney are adjusting very well!  Delilah spends most of her time looking out the windows in the french doors watching the outside world and the birds!  She will stay there for at least 20 minutes at a time totally mesmerized.  She found a comfortable place to sleep last night on the pillow on the bed in the spare room across the hall from our bedroom.  She loves to be petted and receive kisses on the top of her head.  She's more cautious than Whitney, but is loving her new home.

Whitney is quite the character and VERY curious!  He made our house his home almost immediately and talks a lot (happy talk).   He follows us everywhere and jumped up to sit on my husband's lap and later my lap last evening while we were relaxing on our recliners.  This morning he did it again and nuzzled my husband's neck.  And, guess where Whitney slept last night. . . . .  in bed with us like he's been here forever!!

I'm attaching a few pictures for you.

Thank you very much.  We are loving our new children!

My family moved and I couldn't go along.  My family said that I lived with a dog, another cat and 2 older children and was playful with them.  In my home I enjoyed being petted, was playful and liked being groomed.  They did mention that I don't care to have my belly petted.

I am quite the character and I do love to play.  I can entertain myself or will accept lovins from humans.

I am a black cat but have white speckles throughout my hair coat.  The underside of my tail is a copper brown....very unique.

  • This cat is located at the York County SPCA satellite at Hanover PetSmart. There are times when cats are relocated and this entry may not be currently updated, please email yorkcountyspca@gmail.com to verify the cat's location or for more information.

  • To fill out an adoption application, you can complete an application located at Hanover PetSmart on the adoption table. You can also complete an application online by at www.ycspca.org , click on Adopt a Pet and then click on Apply on line to bring up an application. Please note that the adoption center is manned by volunteers and arrangements will need to be made for a visitation. Please email yorkcountyspca@gmail.com to make arrangements. Once your application is approved, coordination with an adoption volunteer will be needed to meet at Hanover PetSmart.

  • Pets adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered and receive necessary vaccinations as part of the adoption fee.

  • PLEASE NOTE: The economy has taken its toll on pets. We currently have many cats looking for forever homes. We are running a 2 Purr Special until further notice. If you have room in your heart and your home for 2 kitty cats you can now adopt 2 cats and the 2nd adoption fee will be waived. Be sure to ask about the 2 PURR SPECIAL when you fill out your application for adoption.
