Willy 96945 - ADOPTED RIP December 12, 2015
Sadly we received news that Willie's family had to euthanize him December 12, 2015. He had become very ill and was not able to recover. He will be remembered by all who knew him. Run healthy in Rainbow Bridge dear Willie.

Just thought I'd share some pictures of Willy with everyone. As I shared with Jo, the family loves him to pieces, the resident felines, not so much. But there is less hissing, and a little more tolerating on their part, so I am hopeful at least the younger cat will be friends at some point. And he has just made himself at home, what a gentle soul he is!

update August 2015: This is Willie, whom we adopted in January of this year, being happy in his box in the living room. Several times I have wanted to get rid of the box, but he always comes looking for it to curl up in and sleep. But he only wants to sleep in it when it sits on its side like in the picture. Willie is the most outgoing cat we have ever owned, and he greets anyone that comes like an old friend. Whenever any of us sits down in the living room, he usually is there to hop up in our lap, and give us a chirpy purr. In June he had to have more surgery done on his eye socket because of repeated infections, and took that like a champ, especially after he got the dreaded cone off! He loves to sleep between my husband and I at night, and on those occasions he chooses to sleep with our son, we miss his warm little body in the bed. We are so glad we opened our home to this loving cat.
