To fill out an adoption application, you can complete an application located at Hanover PetSmart on the adoption table. You can also complete an application online by at www.ycspca.org , click on Adopt a Pet and then click on Apply on line to bring up an application. Please note that the adoption center is manned by volunteers and arrangements will need to be made for a visitation. Please email yorkcountyspca@gmail.com to make arrangements. Once your application is approved, coordination with an adoption volunteer will be needed to meet at Hanover PetSmart.
Pets adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered and receive necessary vaccinations as part of the adoption fee.

Update on Chance: I set down the carrier to close the door, and Magnus immediately ran up to greet me. I heard three little hisses from Chance and Magnus turned around to investigate and didn't make a peep. Just sniffed. So, we kept the water bottle handy and Chance out in the bedroom with Magnus. He was a little aprehensive, but as soon as as he came out, Magnus sniffed him and started licking him. It took Chance a couple hours to warm up to him, but they're inseperable now! So, after we woke up the next morning, Richard had to leave for work. Once he left, Chance started fussing and meowing. Everytime he would start fussing Magnus would run over to make sure he was ok and lick him on the head. He got a little jealous once I sat down, because Chance was being a cuddle bug. (He has QUITE the little purrer on him!" But, when I took a nap, I woke up to them BOTH cuddled up on me. (Picture related) Don't worry, Magnus has been getting plenty of loving, too! He's definitely a Daddy's boy, though. Chance, of course, is a total Momma's boy. As for the rest of the week, we've discovered that Chance has an affinity for socks. He even crawled under the bathroom vanity to get to a sock the previous tenant had left! Every time he gets ahold of one, he carries it around the house doing is fiercest little growl like he just caught a mouse while Magnus stares at him like "What are you even doing? That's not a toy." He even managed to find my shoebox o' mismatched socks and has strewn them throughout the apartment. Chance has had a few tummy problems from the stress of moving, but all-in-all he's doing very well! :)
