The weather's turned cold here, so here's the frost on our truck that greeted us most mornings.
The finishing touches included the stairway entry and the door to the garage. The original door frames weren't set at the level of our new drywall - so we needed to make up some filler strips before the new moldings could be fitted.
We brought my 12" miter saw over to cut the moldings. It was too cold to set up outside, so we rigged it up inside with the vacuum. It worked out well.
The baseboard and quarter-round really add the finishing touch.
Everythings done but the pub area and a few small items. We'll be back once the pub plan is put to paper.
We added a molding to the wall where the colors change. The Home Theater area looks real nice.
The bathtub walls got caulked with a sanded caulk that matched the grout.
The bath needs a towel bar, towels and wastebasket. The commode needs to be recaulked too. But other than that, it's looking good.
Let's try a few before and afters. Here's the pub and bath before.
And here's the after.
Before . . .
. . . and after.
Before . . .
. . . and after.
And finally, a before . . .
. . . and the after. All in all it was a very worthwhile project that turned out great. Now continue on for some . . .

Today is Isaac's birthday. Yesterday afternoon Jim & Kim held a birthday party.
Trav shares some pizza with Reagan as Dad fills up in the kitchen. The diningroom was to be painted by now . . .
Reagan and Isaac join the twins, Jacob & Jaden, plus cousin Kinsy for a picture.
The cake might look like a '1' but Isaac was definately turning two this year.
Dad divies up the cupcake cake.
Isaac got his very own cupcake - but in the end he was too excited to eat and got down from the table to play.
The twin's big brother, Garett, puts on his angry face at his Dad's request. (caution: spelling unknown for all kid names - other than Reagan and Isaac.)
But Reagan liked her cupcake.
Too bad they were covered with indelible frosting . . .
Sue got a hold of one of the twins, Jacob we think.
Reagan really really wanted to try out Isaac's new tee ball outfit, so at the end of the day Grandpa put it together and we all went out front to try it out. Reagan got one nice line drive right back to Grandpa.
Dad gave Isaac some help in stepping up to the plate. Actually, he needs a little more seasoning, but no doubt that will come with time. Tomorrow we start Brianne's Basement Project. The fun never stops! Take care till next time.
